This is a poem I wrote and read at Grammy's Memorial Service.
I apologize for the delay.
Bless the man who stood by her side
Taking the ups and downs with such great stride
Bless the man who was there for better AND worse
Who still had love and strength to disperse
Bless the man who was there in sickness and health
He knows that family is HIS greatest wealth
Bless the man who held her tight
As we mourn the woman
Who fought the good fight
Bless the man who she loved the most
He kept his promise to keep her close
Bless the man who tells stories of her
with such a gleam in his eye
We hang on every word, trying not to cry
Bless the man we now call PaPa
A man of respect, with NO flaws
I am so proud and more than privileged
To be your daughter-in-law
