Nutcracker

Thursday night we headed to the Dougherty Center to see a special showing of the Nutcracker. The ballet company hosted the event for LSS and the foster families. The babes had a great time playing with the other kids prior to the show and we were able to meet and catch up with the other families and our caseworker. The babes loved the performance. Liam sat in my lap and watched intently while asking "what's that?" and pointing to everything. Allie sat in Michael's lap in awe of it all. Due to their bedtime, we had to leave after the first act. Had we stayed, we would have been able to see the second act, meet the dancers, tour backstage and take pics (no pics were allowed during the performance). I hope they do it again next year. It was truly a lovely, memorable night.
For those wondering, Michael and I continue to keep up with our Foster Care license through LSS. Both of our babes were adopted last year and we hope to have the honor of a couple of more blessings in the next year or so.
Also, I cannot post any pics of the other children Allie and Liam played with due to privacy issues...but believe me...they were all so adorable!
